Hello, everybody, I'm making this video because I got some exciting news about something I'm launching, got my sunglasses on, I'm in Brazil right now it's kind of bright. But anyway, this is related to me living in Brazil. Some of you may know, I live in Brazil half the year or more, my wife is Brazilian. And so I have a house here. And we're in South Paulo. It's the biggest city in Brazil. And in the state of Sao Paolo, we get lots of options, we got the beautiful beaches, we've got the beautiful mountains. And it's really underrated here. And not a lot of people come here, even though there's no visa requirement for Americans. So what I'm excited about is offering retreats not just in Brazil, but also having remote coaching and stuff. Because what's our number one challenge nowadays, I would say that, for me, and a lot of other people, it's been technology's just the way that our society set up. Now I have to work on the computer a lot. We have our phones, which are, in some ways too powerful for us, they have the sum of all human knowledge right at our fingertips, and entertainments, and social media and other things are so addicting. Let me give you some examples of some applications or things on your phone or computer that can easily become addictive, and are kind of designed from the beginning by these manufacturers and buy these companies to get hooked in and get us dependent. So let's look at social media. I know in the past, I had issues with Facebook addiction, and especially with fall in the news on my q&a channel, I got a little bit too involved in Twitter as well. And this can happen just as easily my wife, with Instagram, and all kinds of social media that's out there can get you hooked and get you scrolling. It's that novelty. It's those dopamine hits that you get when you're scrolling, and you're looking at those videos. And those means and those images and those pictures, and those sayings. And you're just moving your finger moving your finger getting more and more and more and more and more and you get a life and you get a like and you get a like and each time you get a like you get a dopamine hit and those types of dopamine hits, start to replace some of the social connections that you might be getting an in the offline real world. So same thing happens with pornography addiction, with with addiction to video games, with addiction to dating apps, where you're, you're swiping and swiping and looking at different people looking different people. And same thing can go with Netflix and with all the things that we do online to get entertainment is basically that technology over stimulates us, it gives us too much of a good thing, too much information, too much stimulation and happiness. Or, you know, I don't want to say happiness, because it's not real happiness. But it's basically so much entertainment for our brain. So much stimulation for our brain that it actually puts us in the overdrive puts us into dependence and addiction, depending on technology to supply those things. And then the real world doesn't end up giving us that stimulation that we used to get from them, we might not get motivated to go to work or to be with our family or to connect with friends, or to exercise or to eat healthy food. You combine the addiction to technology. With the addiction to processed food, it's a dangerous combination of lack of motivation, with lack of nutrients, and you put it together and you just become fatter and fatter and lazier and lazier and more and more depressed and anxious. And you've become basically a slave to your phone and computer and a slave to this matrix society. This is matrix society, which says if you just keep on buying enough food and McDonald's and soda and carbs and all this stuff, and if you keep on consuming Netflix and YouTube and all of these things that we've been talking about, then you'll be happy. But you never, ever are happy, you get more and more depressed and you're more and more dependent. So what's freedom from all this? The Freedom is being able to break these addictions. I'm happy to say that even though four years ago, I was on Facebook multiple hours per day. Now, I don't go on Facebook for my human connections, my friendship from all that stuff. I'm happy to say that even though I used to be addicted to dating apps, just trying to find the right person trying to find the right person. I did finally you know, meet my wife and I'm married now. And so now I'm learning how to manage that Twitter for the news feeds like to Constant information. And learning to not have to be dependent on Netflix and YouTube and all these things for entertainment, but to be able to find entertainment from old fashioned things like, like a good book, like a good conversation, like exercise and human connections. And so I did write a book about this type of stuff A while back is called the mastery of change, choosing mental and emotional wellness. And I created a 30 day workbook and a 30 day challenge for you to get out there in the real world, connect with people, join groups, established friendships, volunteer, be altruistic, be loving, compassionate. And now right now I'm working on something called Sean Morgan's Down to Earth Guide of life hack. So this is 53 different things you can do to basically do what we've been describing here, break the addictions and establish healthy habits. And so I'm looking forward to actually bringing people down to Brazil, and giving them a controlled environment where they can be in a hotel, they can be at the beach, they can be at a retreat center in the mountains, they can be somewhere here in Brazil, where I get to work with them as a life coach. And I get to work with other people like therapists and massage therapists and other types of professionals so that we can break those addictions, leave the cell phone in the computer in a locked box somewhere, or work on a goal that's important to whether it's a nutrition goal, like you want to try being vegetarian or vegan, or you want to try being carnivore or keto, or you want to try doing a juice fast or something like that. So we get a controlled environment, and work on your goals together with a structure.
